Play Every Day 5K & Kiddie Run
We are jump starting an action packed day in the community by hosting a 5k (formerly the Dorcas Dash)! The Play Every Day 5k encompasses the Buxton Recreation's motto "Play, Every, Day". We are looking forward to promoting a day were our community is coming together to play and celebrate! The PLAY EVERY DAY 5k will benefit the Town of Buxton Keep The Heat On and our Scholarship program. New this year is a Kiddie Fun Run! The first 50 participants to register will receive a free t-shirt! Lets get those sneakers laced up!

Kiddie Run at 7:45 a.m. and 5K Run at 8:00 a.m.

Kids 12 and under can run the 5K for free! Register at the race.
Awards
Trophies will be awarded to the top overall female and male runners. Medals will be awarded to top runners in the following categories:
- 19 and under male and female
- 20 - 29 male and female
- 30 - 39 male and female
- 40 - 49 male and female
- 50 - 59 male and female
- 60 - 69 male and female
- 70+ male and female
Entry Fee
- Pre-registration $30.00 online plus a $2.75 registration fee at check out.
- Day of race registration (Cash only) 7:00 a.m. $35.00.
- Kids 12 and under running the 5K will need to register before the race on race day. Registration is free!
Race Policy
If race is canceled due to extreme weather conditions, there will be no make-up date and no refunds.
Strollers, dogs or other animals will not be permitted on the race course.
T-Shirt
To guarantee a T-Shirt in your size the deadline for online registrations is July 14th.
